Sprinkle Cookies: Ingredients

  • Eggs: 2
  • Oil: 6 tbsp
  • Sugar: ½ cup
  • Almond, anise or vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • Flour: 2 cups
  • Baking powder: 2 tsp
  • Salt: 1 pinch

Glaze

  • Powdered sugar: 2 cups
  • Almond, anise or vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • Warmed, milk or cream: 3-4 tbsp

Sprinkle Cookies: Instructions

  • Start with whisking oil, sugar, eggs and extract in a mixing bowl and then stir in baking powder, flour and salt.
  • Use tablespoonfuls to roll dough into small balls. Chill these small dough balls for at least 60 minutes. Or, you can freeze them for 15-20 minutes. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper and place these cold dough balls on these sheets.
  • Bake these dough balls for about 9 minutes at 350°. Balls will have lightly browned bottoms and tops will still be white.
  • When it comes to the glaze, combine ingredients in a small bowl. Whisk to smooth. Achieve a thin but creamy consistency by adding enough warm cream.
