Earthquake of magnitude 6.9 rocks southwestern Colombia: USGS

A powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.9 rocked southwestern Colombia on Saturday, the US Geological Survey said.
The quake, struck at 1416 GMT, was 80.5 miles deep and was felt as far away as Quito, Ecuador, Reuters reported.
The USGS originally reported the quake, cantered 6 miles southwest of Pasto, as a 7.0 magnitude.
