THE BEST OF…

Arguably David de Gea’s most impressive save for Manchester United came
against Chelsea, with the Spaniard displaying his astounding level of
agility to deny compatriot Juan Mata.

—–

Another instance of spectacular shot-stopping from De Gea, as he pounces to
deflect Fabricio Colloccin’s volleyed effort.

—–

De Gea’s instictive reactions push De Jong’s long-distance effort to safety.

—–

De Gea could have been forgiven for appearing slightly off the pace in this
pre-season fixture against the Chicago Fire. However, he was alert in
producing a stunning save with his right foot.

—–

Keeping out a Leighton Baines free-kick is complex enough but, when it takes a
deflection, only a goalkeeper with superb reflexes could keep it out

THE WORST OF…

De Gea failed twice in his first game for United – the 2011 Community shield
against Manchester City – conceding goals to Jolean Lescott & Edin Dzeko.

—–

Steve Kean’s Blackburn sealed a shock 3-2 victory in 2011 after De Gea flapped
at an attempted clearance.

—–

When United lost 2-1 to Basel in Dec 2011, De Gea was responsible for the
Swiss team’s opener after a poor clearence gifted Marco Streller.
