A middle school teacher in Rowlett, Texas has been suspended after he attempted to donate students a history lesson… by throwing a lasso around the head of a seventh grader.
Explained School District Spokesman Chris Moore to KHOU of why a 13-year old ended up with bruises on his neck:
“[The teacher] was visiting with the students, telling the students approximately how Cowboys would corral maverick steers back into the herd.”
Moore added that the he does not believe there was “malicious” intent behind the act, just that the administrator in question used “extremely poor judgment.”
An investigation has been launched into the incident and the Rowlett Police Department is looking at possible criminal charges of injury to a child.
