Nicki Minaj Denies Feud with Mariah Carey, Status as a "Crazy Psycho"
Nicki Minaj taped an interview with Ellen DeGeneres this week & aimed to clear up two issues:
- She\'s not feuding with fellow new American Idol judge Mariah Carey.
- She\'s not a crazy psychopath!
Indeed, while Mariah is acting all Mariah-like in awkward videos, Minaj is attempting to calmly set the record straight. Watch for yourself:
“We’re fine,” Nicki says of her & Mariah. “I cannot hold a grudge against Mariah Carey. What people don’t understand is that I’ve looked up to her for so many years. Since she came out, ‘Vision of Love’ all that. Me & my mother would sing her songs like all day & all night.
“So I don’t know if she’s gotten over it yet I have.”
In the end, Minaj emphasized that her relationship with Carey or any other judge isn’t the focus of the show anyway.
“We have a lot of tremendous talent, & I don’t want anyone on the panel to say something too crazy because then I don’t want to look like a crazy psycho again. I am not really a crazy psycho, you guys.”
