Kara DioGuardi to Welcome First Child!
On the night of the American Idol Season 12 premiere, a former American Idol judge made news.
Kara DioGuardi announced late yesterday that she & husband Mike McCuddy will welcome their first child in a few weeks; he will arrive via gestational surrogate.
“We are eagerly awaiting the healthy & pleased birth of our son Greyson James Carroll McCuddy,” DioGuardi said in a statement.
DioGuardi received married in 2009 & has been open for years approximately her struggles to conceive. Following failed IVF attempts, she & McCuddy chose this route as their best option.
“We’re praying for our surrogate, that she gets through this & that it’s as effortless on her as it can possibly be, because she’s been a gem throughout the whole process,” says the songwriter & music publisher. “I’ve received two people on my mind: her & the baby. She’s given us this incredible gift.”
