Charlie Sheen: I Will Save Lindsay Lohan!

Charlie Sheen wants to save Lindsay Lohan.

No for real, he wants to step in and assist the spiraling train wreck, and says he’s received both the credentials and credibility to make a difference in her life.

Sheen says he may be her best shot, too. The actor tells TMZ, “I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not.”

“She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to a man who’s been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey.”

“If she listens, she’ll win. If she doesn’t, that’s on her.”

Charlie and Lindsay are moreover friends, it’s worth noting.

The duo forged a connection on the set of Scary Movie 5, after which Charlie cut her a $100,000 check to assist with her mounting tax problems.

Lindsay’s now returning the favor by appearing on Anger Management, although that may be Sheen helping her again more than the other way around.

She’s broke. Like huge time. Things have gotten so bad financially that the $100,000 from Charlie barely made a dent, and that’s just her tax problems.

Also, Charlie still claims they’ve never hooked up, “I love her, I respect her, and I’ve never laid a finger on her that wasn’t on film. How ya like me now, America?”

Actually, a heck of a lot more than we used to.
