Atlanta School Shooting: 14-Year-Old Shot in the Head, Building on Lockdown

An Atlanta fire official says a 14-year-old has been shot in the head at Price Middle School, two miles south of downtown, and has been taken to a hospital.

In yet another tragic school shooting, Atlanta Fire Cpt. Marian McDaniel moreover says a teacher suffered minor cuts and bruises during the event.

The second Atlanta school shooting victim, a teacher, was treated at the scene for minor injuries, and was not taken to the hospital, according to reports.

At least one person has been taken into custody.

The school is currently on lockdown.

McDaniel says the shooting victim was taken to Grady Hospital yet information on the teen’s condition was not immediately available as of this report.

TV news helicopters show a swarm of Atlanta police officers at the school.
