3 New TV Spots for Beautiful Creatures – ‘The Battle Between Good & Evil Begins’
Opening in theatres on Valentine’s Day next month, Beautiful Creatures will be one of the first main blockbusters of the year looking to fill the gap left open in the market with the conclusion of The Twilight Saga last year.
Warner Bros. have the beginning of a franchise with a lot of potential, & they’ve been doing a tremendous job of promoting the film in recent months.
We were treated to an extended TV spot last week, & now the studio have released three new TV spots to donate us an idea of what we have coming our way.
“A supernatural love story set in the South, “Beautiful Creatures” tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, & Lena (Alice Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets approximately their respective families, their history & their town.”
Rising young stars Alice Englert (Ginger & Rosa) & Alden Ehrenreich (Stoker) take the leads here, with fine support coming from Emmy Rossum (The Phantom of the Opera), Emma Thompson (Love Actually), Jeremy Irons (Margin Call), Thomas Mann (Project X), & Viola Davis (The Help).
Richard LaGravenese (Water for Elephants) is behind the camera here, directing from his own script, having adapted the original best-selling novel by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl.
The original novel, Beautiful Creatures, is the first in a four-part series known as the Caster Chronicles, & a popular book in the young adult novel genre. If this first film is a hit like the studio are hoping it will be, that leaves at least a further three movies to look forward to in the years to come. & if the final novel is treated in a similar way to recent franchises, smart money says that it will be split into two parts.
Beautiful Creatures will be released in the UK on 13th February, with its US release date timed perfectly for 14th February, looking to open huge over the Valentine’s weekend. Here are the latest TV spots to get you in the mood.
